Men. Results AIG Pierce Purcell Shield.Munster Champions Nenagh travelled to Carton House G C on Thursday last for simi-final stage of the Pierce Purcell competition and they defeated Nuremore. 4/1. Nenagh Players were Paddy Kennedy & Padraig Hackett,Bernard Hackett & Pat J Hogan, Mel Gleeson & John Hogan,Thomas Slattery & Jim Gleeson, David Hickey & Matthew O'Gara. Managers Michael Fitzgibbon and Tony Mc Cann .This win saw Nenagh through to the Final. On Friday Nenagh who fielded an unchanged team met Castlebar who had beaten Castlecomer on Thursday's simi _final. Nenagh took the lead from the start in matches one and two went 4 up in both finishing 5&4. The last match also won their match 5&4. The other two matches were halved leaving the final score 4/1to Nenagh. Congratulations and well done to all.
