Catherine Bird's Women's Captain's Prize: The Women's Captain's prize will take place on this Sunday 16th July. Consequently there will be no men's competition on Saturday or Sunday. The men's club hope our women's captain Catherine has a lovely day for herself and her family and that she will have fine weather and great golf for her special day.

Senior Cup: Our Senior Cup team won the Munster West title on Sunday when they overcame Ballybunion in Kilrush Golf Club by 3 Match to 2. The squad was: David Reddan Jnr, Paul Carey, Collwyn Martin, Jake Adler, John Scroope, Cian Heffernan and Brian Freeman. The manger is Eanna Jones.

Club Singles: The Club Singles matchplay is now down to the semi-final stage. Paul Quinn will play Eugene Fitzpatrick and Sean Minogue will be against Patrick Lynch.

Club Fourball 2023: The draw for the club fourball is now on the noticeboard. Play off the blue tees. With the handicaps the lowest player goes to zero and subtract his handicap from the other three. All matches must be completed on time – overdue matches will have both pairs disqualified. Top pair to arrange match. First round matches to be play by 24th July. All correspondence to competition organisers Niall Murphy and Jim Flynn.

Club 50/50 Draw: Tony Scroope was the winner of €1080 in the first draw of the new 50/50 draw. The next draw will take place on Thursday 27th July at 7.30 pm in the clubhouse.

Vinny's Classic: It is the 31st anniversary of Vinny's Classic in aid of Irish Pilgrimage Trust Golf, which this year will be on this Friday 14th July. The competition will be a four person scramble. Timesheet is in the bar. BRS till noon. Shotgun start at 4.45pm. Entry of €100 per team.
