Lady President: The Lady President's Prize (Helen Leo) will take place on this Sunday September 11th. Consequently there will be no men's competition on that day. The Lady President's Prize to the men will take place on this Wednesday September 7. We will have an singles competition on Friday and Saturday September 10th and 11th. The men's club wish Helen, the very popular lady president, and her family every good wish for her big day.

Moore Cup : Our Moore Cup team suffered a very narrow 4-3 defeat in the final against Newbridge at Portarlington Golf Club on Saturday. Three of the matches were decided at the 18th. The team was Kevin Stritch, Willie Duff, Eugene Fitzpatrick, Conor O'Meara, Noel O'Dwyer, Jimmy Ryan, Paul Bane, and Hugh Maher. The selectors were Pat Foley and John Hackett.

Fred Perry Trophy: The Fred Perry Trophy team had a very good win in their all-Ireland quarter final match against Loughgal at Loughrea Golf Club on Saturday. Nenagh won three matches with the other two called in. The team was Billy Burke and Jim Gleeson; Garry Howard and Paul Moloney; Dinny Ryan and Pat Hogan; Billy Morgan and Willie Harty; Sean Minogue and George Hayes. Their selectors were Michael Hegarty and Eamon Callanan. Their all-Ireland semi-final match will be against Wicklow Club at Athlone Golf Club on Thursday 29th September.

Club Fourball: The draw for the club fourball has been made and his posted in the locker room. Some third round matches have still to be played. The deadline for the fourth round is 14th September so get your outstanding matches played.

Special 50/50 Members' Draw: The fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund is ongoing. In the draw held on Saturday 3rd September Michael Manning won €110 with the total pot at €215. To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box outside the pro shop. Please support. The next draw will take place on this Saturday 17th September.
