Lions Club: Nenagh Lions Club champagne scramble, sponsored by Mack Engineering, will take place on this Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd July. Prize sponsors Jim McLoughney Menswear and Breo Jewellers. Entry fee €80 for team of four (any combination). There will also be an all-ladies prize. All proceeds to support Carmha. JB Carr Trophy: Our JB Carr team was in action on Tuesday last in the first leg of their match with Shannon at Nenagh. They won 3 matches to 2. Playing in Nenagh were Gary Howard and Paul Moloney; Michael Scroope and Dinny Ryan; Jim Gleeson and Michael Gavin; Pat Hogan and Willie Harty; Jim Flynn and Billy Burke. The second leg took take place on Tuesday last of which we will have details next week.

Moore Cup: The Moore Cup team had a match against Esker Hills on Sunday evening with four matches at home and three away. They won four matches at home, were up in one away, down in one and level in third. Final score 5.5-1.5.Their next match will be against the winners of Mount Temple and Longford. Playing in Nenagh were Dinny Ryan, Gary Howard, Willie Harty and Billy Morgan. Away players were Eugene Fitzpatrick, Con O'Meara and Jim Ryan (K). Their selectors are Pat Foley and John Hackett.

Fred Perry Trophy: The Fred Perry team's next match will be against Spanish Point in Nenagh on Sunday 3rd July.

Club Singles (O'Keefe Cup): The club singles is down to the last stages. Conor Dore v Ger McKenna; Aidan Ryan beat Jerry Ryan; John Coonan v Joe Coonan and Hugh O'Brien v Tom Coffey.

Club Fourball: The draw for the club fourball has been made and his posted in the locker room. The deadline for the first round is 26th June.

Special 50/50 Members' Draw: The fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund is ongoing. In the draw held on Saturday June 25th when Cormac Doheny won €140 with the total pot at €280. To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box outside the pro shop. Please support. The next draw will take place on Saturday July 9th.

Vinny's Classic: It is the 30th anniversary of Vinny's Classic in aid of Irish Pilgrimage Trust Golf, which this year will be on Friday 8th July. The competition will be a four person scramble with a 4.45 pm shotgun start and entry of €100 per team.. Three drives per person.
