Martin Barry win his second captains: Martin Barry won Liam Hogan's Captain's Prize on Sunday afternoon in glorious weather conditions. This is his second captain's title having won Michael Fitzgibbon's prize in 2016. He scored 65 in the playoff to go with his 61 in the qualifiers to win by one shot from Sean O'Donnell who had 64 and 63. In third place was Kevin Stritch with 61 and 63. The gross was won by Tony Scroope with a fine score of 141 over the two days. At the presentation of prizes Liam Hogan thanked everyone who had helped make the event such a great success. He praised the course staff, the men's committee and helpers for organising the event, the catering staff and he also thanked the man who could not be thanked! Winner Martin Barry thanked everybody, on his own behalf and on behalf of all the prizewinners for the staging of such a wonderful event in the club. He said he was delighted to win Liam Hogan's prize.

Central Towns: Congratulations and well done to our Central Towns team who won the final at Tullamore against Carlow on Saturday afternoon. They won the first three matches and the remaining matches were called in. The team was Jody Hurley, Mel Gleeson, George Hayes, Martin Reddan and TJ Burns. Reserves were Sean McLoughlin, Sean Quinn and Niall Murphy. The team manager Billy Morgan thanked his team and his assistant manager Mel Gleeson for their efforts during the long campaign. He also was grateful to Gleeson & Co. (Accountants) who sponsored the team shirts on the day. This is Nenagh's ninth win in this competition with the last victory coming in 2007.
Congratulations to David Reddan Junior on making the Munster Senior team for the Interprovincial matches. The three day event took place in Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort on Aug 23rd to 25th. David is one of only eight players selected from Munster and is representative of some of the great talent in Nenagh Golf Club.
Club Singles (O'Keefe Cup): The club singles is down to the final. Ger McKenna will play Tom Coffey is in the final.
Club Fourball: The draw for the club fourball has been made and his posted in the locker room. The deadline for the third round was has passed so get your outstanding matches played.
Special 50/50 Members' Draw: The fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund is ongoing. In the draw held on Saturday 20th August Pat O'Connor won €120 with the total pot at €240. This is Pat's second win in the last two draws. To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box outside the pro shop. Please support. The next draw will take place on this Saturday 3rd September.
