Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th December: 14 hole open singles competition. Cat. 1: Jake McMahon (0) 28 pts; Cat. 2: John Coonan (9) 30 pts (back 6); Cat. 3: Conor Delaney (16) 31 pts; Cat. 4: Martin Slattery (21) 29 pts.

Christmas fixtures: There will be a 14 hole open fourball competition on Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of December. Entry €5 for members and €20 for visitors. Re-entry with different partners. We also have a 14 hole open singles competition on Saturday 30th, Sunday 31st and Monday 1st January. Entry €5 for members and €20 for visitors. Re-entry allowed. Timesheet will open for both these competition on Wednesday 20th December.

Winter League results: The fourth round of Winter League matches took place last Saturday. Pat Grace 2 Philip Quinlan 1; Denis Corrigan 2 Conor O'Dwyer 1; Michael Hegarty 2 Pairic Shanahan 1. The fifth round of matches will take place on Saturday 13th January 2024.

AGM: The annual general meeting of the management committee took place on Tuesday last. Both outgoing captains, Martin Slattery and Catherine Bird, addressed the meeting and outlined the improvement needed on the course for 2024 which would require major additional expenditure. The financial reports shows a small surplus. The election of officers were: Presidents – David Hunt and Marie Scroope; captains – Philip Quinlan and Anna O'Brien; vice-captains – John Sheridan and Janet Hanly; ex-officio – Martin Slattery and Catherine Bird; hon secretary – Paul Ferris; hon treasurer – Cian Heffernan; auditors – O'Donnell Keane and Co.; committee – Tony Scroope, Paul Comer, Sean Minogue, Alice Varley, Anna Hogan. The motion raising the subscriptions was passed.
