AGM: The annual general meeting of the parent club took place virtually by zoom on Monday 6th December. The accounts showed a surplus of €103,143. Officers elected were: Presidents Michael Manning and Helen Leo; captains Liam Hogan and Julie Barkman; vice-captains Martin Slattery and Catherine Bird; hon secretary Paul Ferris; treasurer John Sheridan; committee: Toni Brophy, Fiona Murnane, Kieran Burke, Brian Duggan and Sean Minogue. Gleeson and Co. Accountants were returned as auditors. There was one motions to regulate the club constitution in line with guideline from Golf Ireland which was passed unanimously.

Next weekend: In the 14 hole competition on this Saturday and Sunday 18th and 19th December there will be prizes for: Best score overall; best score in each catagory 1 (up to 9); category 2 (10 to 18) and category 3 (19+).

Winter League: The Winter League 2021-2022 commence last weekend. Following the first round of singles qualifiers the following is the table: Michael Hegarty 116 pts; John M. Slattery 116; Andrew McCarthy 116; Robert Foley 111; Jody Hurley 107; Cronan Casey 107; Denis Corrigan 106; Gerard Ryan 105; Kieran Ryan 102. The next round will take place in January 2022.

50/50 Draw Christmas Special: For the next 50/50 Draw to be held on Friday 18th December there will, in addition to the regular first prize, a chance to win three Christmas hampers. So make sure you are in the next draw.

50/50 Members' Draw: The fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund is ongoing. In the last draw held on Friday December 3rd Chris Middleton won €120 with the total pot at €240. To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box outside the pro shop. The winner will receive 50% of the pot. The draw will take place every second Friday. The prize grows with every ticket sold. Please support. The next draw will take place on this Friday December 17. Open Team of 4: The new Open Team of 4 competition has commenced and will run for the month of December, January, February and March. The sponsor is Eanna Jones (PGA professional). Full playing handicaps apply with two scores to count. Entry fee will be €25 per player for visitors and €5 per play for members with re-enry in same month €15 for visitors. 25% of entry will go to the best visitors team per month and 25% goes to the best member team per month.
