Men. Results The All Ireland Final of the J B Carr Diamond Trophy was held in Woodenbridge Golf Club Co. Wicklow on Saturday & Sunday 3rd & 4th of September. On Saturday Nenagh Golf Club played Enniscrone Golf in the simi-final and after some close matches emerged winners by 3 _ to 1 _. On Sunday Nenagh's oponents in the final were Athy Golf Club again Nenagh came out winner's by 3 _ to 1 _ . The panel of players representing Nenagh were. Martin Guest, Dinny Ryan, Pat Hogan, Jim Gleeson, Paul Molony, Garry Howard, Matt Peters, Pat Mc Grath, Paddy Martin, Paddy Kennedy, Billy Morgan, Tim Harty, Martin Slattery, Manager Hugh Maher, Selector Paddy Peters. Duggan Cup : Our Duggan Cup team failed to retain their title when they were defeated 3-2 by Killen Golf Club in the final at Edenderry Golf Clubon Fridaylast. On a very wet and windy day the result was very tight with three of the matches going to extra holes. The team was: Ger Clifford and Paddy Martin; Jim Gleeson and Patsy Farrell; Garry Howard and Paul Moloney; Sean McLoughlin and Dinny Ryan; Paddy Kennedy and Eamon Callanan. We congratulate Killeen who are winning the trophy for the first time and thanks them for agreeing to change the final date at our request. Thanks to the team and selectors Michael Hegarty and Jim Flynn for their co-operation in what proved to be a very long campaign.
