Club Classic Open Scramble: The Nenagh Golf Club Open Scramble Classic will take place on this Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 5th, 6th and 7th in aid of course development. The main sponsors are Eanna Jones (PGA professional), Slattery's Garage (main Peugeot and Subaru dealers), Breo Jewellers and Nineteen Bar and Bistro. Entry fee for a team of four will be €200 (meal included). Teams can consist of men, ladies or mixed. First prize will be two 2 nights in Castlerosse Hotel and a round of golf in each of Killarney courses (Killeen and Mahoney's Point); second prize will be four golf watches and third will be four golf bags. There will be a prize for an all-ladies team. There will be numerous other prizes for green fees, etc. You may book your team through the club BRS system of phone 067-31476 (option 2).

Central Towns: The Central Towns team had a semi-final match with Portarlington on Sunday afternoon. They won three matches at home, lost one away with the fifth match halved. Playing in Nenagh were George Hayes, TJ Burns and Liam Gleeson. Away were Mel Gleeson and Jody Hurley. The managers are Billy Morgan and Mel Gleeson. They now proceed to the final in Tullamore on Saturday August 20th.

Pierce Purcell: Our Pierce Purcell Shield squad will play Woodstock in Woodstock in the Munster West semi-final on this Sunday 7th August.

Fred Perry: The Fred Perry Cup team have their Munster West final against Killarney at Ballyneety on this Saturday 6th August at 1.30pm.

Club Fourball: The draw for the club fourball has been made and his posted in the locker room. The deadline for the second round was 13th July so get your outstanding matches played.

Special 50/50 Members' Draw: The fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund is ongoing. In the draw held on Saturday July 23rd Ita Mills won €155 with the total pot at €305. To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box outside the pro shop. Please support. The next draw will take place on this Saturday 6th August.
