Tuesday Mixed: The Tuesday Mixed of 2019 commenced on May 7th and will continue every Tuesday until September. All are welcome to come along and participate in a fun evening of golf. It's a fun format and great opportunity to interact with other members. Get your names on the timesheet available in the clubhouse. Come and show your support for your vice-captains Jim Flynn and Lucy Sanders.
Muskerry Mixed: The Tuesday Mixed on July 16 will be a qualifier for the Muskerry Mixed. Pick your own partner and there are no penalty points.
IHCPT: The annual Vinny Savage IHCPT scramble will take place this Friday July 12. There is a timesheet in the clubhouse if you wish to play in the shotgun start at 4.45pm. You can also enter online to play up to 11.30 in the morning of Friday July 12.
Singles Matchplay: All of the second round matches have now been played. Check for your third round opponent. First named player to arrange match. Get your match played as soon as you can to ensure the smooth running of this competition.
Club Fourball: The Club Fourball draw was made recently. The pairings and rules are posted on the noticeboard in the men's locker room. Get your match played as soon as possible to keep this competition on schedule.
AIG Senior Cup: The Nenagh GC Senior Cup team was beaten by a very strong Limerick GC performance on a score of 4 to 1 on Sunday July 7. The standard of golf was very high with the home team under par in all matches. Congratulations to our boys on getting to this stage of the tournament. Nenagh team was: Collwyn Martin, David Reddan Jnr, Paul Carey, David Hunt, Shane Hogan, Rob Ward, Tony Scroope, Ronan Maher. Thanks to the team and managers Brian Duggan and Eanna Jones.
Barton Shield: We are playing in the Barton Shield on Saturday next at the Kilrush Golf Club and wish all the best to our team.
Cashman Cup: Our Cashman Cup team's campaign came to an end on Wednesday when they were beaten 31/2 to 11/2 by Limerick at Limerick Golf Club. The team was: Dinny Ryan and Billy Morgan; Billy Burke and Jimmy Bourke; Willie Duff and Willie Harty; Gary Howard and Noel O'Dwyer; David McGrath and Liam O'Gara. Thanks to the team and managers Toddy Hogan and Jim Gleeson
Diary change: There had been a change made to the diary in August regarding the Captain's (Hugh Maher) Prize. The Captain's Prize Qualifier will now be held on Saturday August 10, Sunday August 11 and Monday August 12. The Captain's Prize playoff will take place on Saturday August 17. Societies already booked in will have to be catered for. There will now be an open singles on Sunday August 18. A scramble will take place on Saturday August 24 and Sunday August 25.
LADIES GOLF NOTES
Hard luck to the intermediate team who were defeated by Lahinch Golf Club in the quarter finals of the AIG Intermediate cup. Thanks to all who participated and to the team managers.
