Hugh Maher's Captain's Prize: The highlight of the year for the members at Nenagh Golf Club will take place this weekend when we play for Hugh Maher's Captain's Prize. Qualifying will take place Saturday August 10 (7am-3pm), Sunday August 11 (from 7am) and Monday August 12 (from 9am). The best 90 scores and ties will qualify for the playoff on Saturday August 17. Before becoming captain Hugh served as president of the club and although this year he has been curtailed by health issue, he nevertheless is a hardworking and enthuaistic captain and a great man to get things done around the club. While, at the moment not playing golf, he is always out on the course supporting and encouraging teams, both at home and away. We wish the weather obliges and we have a great occasion for Hugh and his family over the two weekends.

Singles Matchplay: All of the second round matches have now been played. Check for your third round opponent. First named player to arrange match. Get your match played as soon as you can to ensure the smooth running of this competition.

Club Fourball: The Club Fourball pairings and rules are posted on the noticeboard in the men's locker room. Get your match played as soon as possible to keep this competition on schedule.

Beechwood Cup: The Beechwood Cup is a singles matchplay competition for full members who were never under 18 handicap or have never won this competition previously. Put your name on the sheet on the notice board. Entry fee €5. Closing date has been extended to August 14.

Club Senior: This Club Senior singles matchplay competition is open to members who are 60 years of age on January 1 2019. Entry fee €5 Closing date has been extended to August 14.
