Jimmy Bruen and Pierce Purcell Munster Finals: The Munster semi-finals and finals of the Munster Jimmy Bruen and Pierce Purcell will take place at Nenagh Golf Club on Saturday and consequently there will be no men's competition on that date.
Golf Club Lotto: Closing date for entry to the club lotto is Sunday July 21. Some tickets are still available in the bar, office or from any committee member. Many thanks to all those who have joined to date.
Sympathy: The sympathy of the club is extended to the family of Eamon Dooley who died last week. Eamon was a member of the club for many years and served was secretary in the 1980s.
Singles Matchplay: All of the second round matches have now been played. Check for your third round opponent. First named player to arrange match. Get your match played as soon as you can to ensure the smooth running of this competition.
Club Fourball: The Club Fourball draw was made recently. The pairings and rules are posted on the noticeboard in the men's locker room. Get your match played as soon as possible to keep this competition on schedule.
Barton Shield: The Barton Shield team was defeated by Adare Manor in the first round at Kilrush on Saturday. The team was Collwyn Martin and Robert Ward; Shane Hogan and David Reddan Jnr.
Moore Cup: Best of luck to the Moore Cup team who play Royal Curragh on Wednesday afternoon. They have three matches at home and four away.
Diary change: There had been a change made to the diary in August regarding the Captain's (Hugh Maher) Prize. The Captain's Prize Qualifier will now be held on Saturday August 10, Sunday August 11 and Monday August 12. The Captain's Prize playoff will take place on Saturday August 17. Societies already booked in will have to be catered for. There will now be an open singles on Sunday August 18. A scramble will take place on Saturday August 24 and Sunday August 25.
