50/50 Members' Draw: The fortnightly 50/50 Members' Draw in aid of the club development fund is ongoing. In the last draw held on Friday May 21st Brian Byrne won €230 with the total pot at €455.To enter simply put €5 in the envelope supplied and place it in draw box outside the pro shop. The winner will receive 50% of the pot. The draw will take place every second Friday. The prize grows with every ticket sold. Please support. The next draw will take place on this Friday June 4.
Junior Cup: A sheet has been posted on the noticeboard in the clubhouse for members interested in being considered for a panel to represent the club at Junior Cup. A team consists of five players. The handicap is no less than 2.5 on 1st January 2021. All matches played off scratch. Hugh Maher is the manager.
Jimmy Bruen Shield: The managers of the Jimmy Bruen Shield, Pat Foley and Liam Hogan would like any member who is interested in being considered for selection on a panel to put their names on the sheet in the men's lockerroom. The format will be foursomes matchplay. The handicap range is no less than 3.5 index on 1st January 2021. All matches will be played off scratch. Nenagh's first match will be at home to Charleville in the second round.
Pierce Purcell Shield: Bernard Delahunty is the manager and PJ Shanahan is a selector of the Pierce Purcell team for 2021 and they are interested to hear from anybody that is willing to have their name on a panel for trials and team selection. You must be 18 and over and your handicap index of no less than 10.5 and no higher than 16.4 on 1st January 2021. The format is foursomes match play. Nenagh have a bye in the first round and their first match will be away to Rathbane in early July.
Duggan Cup: The Duggan Cup is a team competition confined to golfers over the age of 50 years on 1st January 2021. The maximum handicap is 17.5. The matches are played in foursomes and will consist of five pairs. If you are interested please put your name on the sheet in the men's locker room. The first match was scheduled to be played in early June away to Rathdowney but this has now been deferred to mid July. The selectors are Michael Hegarty and Eamon Callanan.
