The competition will consist of a qualifying round this weekend with top 84 players progesssing to the playoff over 18 holes on Saturday 15th August. Captain Des O'Carroll, a native of Co.Limerick, has been a member of the club for a long number of years, joining in 1984, where he has served on various committees in that time. He is well known in the club for the vast amount of work he does on a voluntary basis. All members wish Des and his family the best of luck over the two weekends of his Captain's Prize and hope the weather obliges and we see great golf. Club Singles: The Club Singles final will be between Paul Moloney and Jack Dunlea. Jack beat Michael Tierney in his semi-final match while Paul overcame Paddy Martin to reach the final. Summer Mixed 2015: A reminder to members that the Summer Mixed sponsored by Breo Jewellers will take place everyTuesdayevening till the end of August. All are welcome to sign up on the sheet located in the bar. Tee times operate from around5pm to 6.30pm. It is a great occasion to mix with different golfers and a lot of fun and laughter occurs on these evenings, so make a date in your diary. If you do not have a playing partner, just sign your name on the sheet.
