Notes

John Tierney RIP: Everybody at the club was very saddened to hear of the death of our esteem colleague John Tierney. John had not been well for some time but his passing was met with widespread regret by all. John was on the greenkeeping staff at the club for nearly forty years (as was his father John before him) and he was extremely popular with work colleagues and members alike. The sympathy of the club is extended to his wife Josephine, son Conor, daughter Laura, brother Jimmy, niece Kathy and father-in-law Billy. The course was closed all day Thursday as a mark of respect. There was a guard of honour of club officers from St Mary of the Rosary church, Nenagh, following his funeral Mass.

New Rules of Golf presentation: A presentation on the new Rules of Golf 2019 will take place on Wednesday 6th February at 7.30 p.m. in Nenagh Golf Club. This presentation is open to all members and you are encouraged to attend. It will be delivered by Mary Coman (R&A Rules official).

Membership Year 2019: The renewals of your membership have been issued recently. Please note that Subscriptions for Year 2019 are now due and members are requested to submit payment as soon as possible. Prompt payment will ensure that necessary work required to keep the course in top condition can continue for all our enjoyment. We wish all our members many hours of enjoyment on the course for the coming year.
