On behalf of Betty and myself, can we wish all our members all the very best of an enjoyable golfing year in 2017. It is truly a great honour to serve as your captains and we will do our utmost to carry out our duties in a warm and professional manner.
To all our respective committee members, can we thank you most sincerely in advance for all the great work that you have undertaken for an on behalf of our members. In a climate where it is increasingly difficult to get volunteers, we do sincerely appreciate your considerable time and effort.
Betty and I want to extend a ‘cead mile failte’ to all our visitors. You are most welcome. The continuing improvements to the condition of our course make Nenagh Golf Club an attractive place to enjoy the game of golf, be that green fee or in open competition. We also invite you to sample our facilities from the Proshop, to our Bar and catering facilities.
We would ask you, our members to encourage any of your family and friends to take up the game. We are embarking a on drive to recruit new members and will be hosting tasters and lessons to spread the enjoyment that is ‘golf’.
2017 will see the follow up to our very successful club classic fundraiser of 2016. The committee led by Hugh Maher is hard at work on this and we hope that you will give your full support towards the continuing development and improvement of our club.
We thank the course staff led ably by Head Greenkeeper, Mark O’Donoghue for their hard work and commitment to our course. We thank Tom Doheny for his tireless efforts to help and assist all who come to the club, both member and visitor alike. Be assured of a warm and friendly welcome.
We wish you all success and most of all, enjoyment in the golfing year that is 2017.
Your Captains, Betty and Brian.
